BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATIONS
When training isn’t enough.
Specialist support for dogs with big feelings.
More than training. Behaviour modification.
ABOUT THIS SERVICE
Behaviour consultations are for dogs whose challenges go beyond what standard training can address. These cases need behaviour-focused support that looks at emotional regulation, stress, and the underlying causes of what you're seeing.
Each consultation includes a thorough assessment and a practical, realistic plan tailored to your dog and your household. The goal isn't quick fixes, it's meaningful, sustainable change that holds up in real life.
In 2025, I became a fully certified Canine Science Behaviourist (CSB) — one of only a handful in Australia, and the only one in Tasmania. This means I'm equipped to take on the most complex cases with the depth they require.
WHAT TO EXPECT
01
I spend time understanding your dog's full history, triggers, and emotional state before forming any plan.
Assessment
02
We meet, form a plan, and begin working on targeted behaviour modification techniques together.
The Session
03
You receive a tailored behaviour plan with clear, practical strategies you can implement straight away.
Written Notes
04
Follow-up sessions and email support keep you on track as your dog's behaviour evolves.
Follow-up Support
What The Initial Session is NOT:
It isn't a training session. We won't be resolving the behaviour on the day. The purpose of this session is to work out what's actually driving it and to build you a plan from there. I may give you some foundation exercises to start off with.
The follow-sessions are where we really get hands on.
There's no quick fix. Behaviour that has been developing over months or years won't be undone in an hour, and I'd rather be honest with you about that from the start than promise something I can't deliver.
It isn't obedience work either. We're not teaching sit and stay. We're teaching your dog the skills that address the emotional drivers underneath the behaviour, which is a very different piece of work.
If what you're after is someone to take your dog away and hand them back sorted, I'm not the right fit, and I'd rather say so now.
But if you're willing to understand how your dog is experiencing the world, follow a structured plan, and do the work between sessions, you're in the right place. You'll also leave with a realistic picture of what's achievable and how long it's likely to take.
If your dog struggles with any of these,
I can help.
